The rumor is the world cat will be current and all others unavailable since the quota for those countries are already filled. Sounds logical. Sadly, my app will be screwed in that case. Hopefully that'll consume some numbers from RoW and there might be some overflow next year (or the year after... or maybe after 7 years and who knows 10).

From the Perm Data there are aprox 21k perm Eb3 labor from 2005 to 2007.
2007 : 13K
2006 : 8k
2005 : 300.
So the rest 7K are BEC labor.

From the article it seems Tancredo gives wrong information about H1b. Generally CNN is not responsible for any other person is giving wrong information in the interviews unless CNN accepts the information. Daily they are interviewing many people including Politicians and there is lot of chance for wrong information. Many persons gave wrong information about Iraq in CNN but CNN could not be responsible for that. If Lou Dobbs gives/accepts wrong information then we can complain about him in CNN. So if action needs to be taken we need to protest Tancredo for his comments.
From the video clipping it looks like a visual of Tom T and inserted in Lou Dobbs program. There is no interaction between Lou Dobbs and Tom. I mean it doesn't sound like Lou is interviewing him. So if it's just a sound byte in Lou Dobb's program he is approving it and he is responsible for the content. I think the petition to CNN is valid and has merit.

Just curious. Why do you claim ROW is receiving preferential treatment over India when all the countries get the same upper limit of the visas. Now if the Indians ask for more visas just because there are more Indians asking for green cards, wouldn't that be preferential treatment? :)
Why do think that "India" is the name of 1 human being that everyone from India should be treat like 1 person. Each person applies for his/her I-485, even each member of a family is considered separate. So why club one group of people based on a dichotomy that works best in your favor and then argue that there should be no change. Why not apply color of skin to decide the limits, or maybe the language. Because frankly, which country I come from has nothing to do with why I am here, just as the color of my skin or my native language has no relevance to my petition. In any system if you club large group of applicants based on a dichotomy, and say you will get lesser share than the rest, isn't that how you describe preferential treatment ? Is there any other way to describe the current country-quota system? Why not say Tamil SriLankans will autonomously govern 86% of the land and rest of people in Sri Lanka should migrate to the remaining 14%. Is that how it works there? NO. That would not be preferential treatment. Because as I said, India is not 1 human being who ought to consume the same oxygen as 1 human being namely Sri Lanka must consume. Oh wait. I get it now. We're probably mistaken in thinking anand26's idea is to improve IV; looks like the idea is to promote "yelling at people" as a way of life.
The plan is to do nothing oneself but make a random to-do list for other people; so we should also respond in the same spirit.
Here are some things you should do, anand26; now do it quickly and report back to this forum by tomorrw:
Eat more broccoli.
Raise money for IV.
Do not use "zapata" in a sentence ever again

Ok, if advertising is too far-fetched, then hold some cultural events and make money on those. Brainstorm with members to find other ways to make money. People are not going to contribute. That is the writing on the wall. There is lack of trust and lack of faith in IV. IV will have to figure out ways to generate cash from other things than member contributions. If I remember correctly, people contributed nearly $200K and have got nothing to show for that.
These suggestions are because you think money is the issue. I don't think it is. It's the lack of good leadership. That is my opinion and it was point of my original posting. Lack of money is being blamed wrongly. But may be I am wrong.
Attack my ideas and not me. Then we can have a debate conducive to achieving our goals.

I am still debating whether to call in or to write - but I will definitely do one of the two. I just read the other thread linked to by 'internet' above & thought I would say a couple of things to the losers at alipac who worship racists like tancredo and lou: Don't distort this thread's message - we not are trying to gag Mr.Lou however much I puke everytime I see him spewing venow on 'aliens' -and I sometimes even admire his constant state of outrage and complete lack of shame. He and his worshippers at alipac are a reminder that bigotry may have been outlawed offcially in the 60's but definitely wasn't completely eliminated for posterity -a lesson to all those who forget history and think we have always been 'civilized'; we are the nation we are today because of the tireless work of so many great leaders supported by so many forward thinking Americans of all colors -so lets be clear - we WANT LOU to spew his venom and unvarnished bigotry in Detroit - we WANT alipac to worship such hatemongers so when youngsters wonder how people could have been done horrible acts in the past we can point to you guys and say 'here you go - now know that every generation has its bigots and its the duty of decent folks to oppose them - its a constant never ending fight!'

Though your case is weak(in my personal opinion because you seem to have entered US uninvited), A complaint against the employer may unravel some strong cases when the investigation happens.
This is from my experience:
Few years ago, some one complained against our employer about back wages and we all benefited from it. Our employer had to pay the wages for the vacations that we took (supposedly paid vacation) which they would not have paid, if the investigation had not occurred.
Though your case is weak(in my personal opinion because you seem to have entered US uninvited), A complaint against the employer may unravel some strong cases when the investigation happens.

We always thought that there is 360k application in BEC and since those LC have PD from 2000 to 2005 there are no chances of fast movement of PD in year 2007 especially for EB3 and EB2(Indian , China).
After reading this news it seems employer withdrew many cases, which they filled for employee who no longer work for company, so certified case is going to be only 100k, much lesser then 360 k. How many more years it will take to clear these 100k LC? I don't think it should take more then 2 years...
But you know logic doesn�t work with US immigration system and we also don�t know how many people are applying through EB1 and EB2-ROW, which are current, we also don't know how many people are already sitting in 485 stage�

Processing status by the Two Backlog Elimination Centers:
Total 100% Dallas (152,000+) Phily (169,000+)
Pending 33% 33% 36%
Completed 67% (1) Certified 33% 33%
" (2) Closed 21% 20%
" (3) Withdrawn 11% 08%
" (4) Denied 01% 02%
The good news is that there were very small number of denials. Bad news is a large number cases did not make it through becuase they were either withdrawn or closed. There are a very small fraction of cases which are not reflected in the table.

When I call NSC they tell there status says whatever is on website, Only thing she did opened SR. And I have not heard anything on that....I took info pass ...same thing...The lady on NSC says she can not even see my Priority Date ..

Please read page 2 of Yates memo (Refer link). The Initial evidence "Annual report", "Tax return", and "Audited financial statement" map to "Employment of the beneficiary", "Net income" and "Net current assets" respectively.
